Acceptable Use Policy

Rules for using SeeVideo safely, lawfully, and responsibly.

Last updated: 2026-08-14

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to all use of SeeVideo, including prompts, uploads, Outputs, accounts, payments, and integrations. It is designed to protect users, rights holders, service providers, and the public, including the requirements commonly imposed by payment providers and Merchants of Record.

General rules

You must use the Service lawfully, responsibly, and only for its intended purpose. You must not, and must not assist or enable anyone else to:

  • violate law, regulation, sanctions, export controls, court orders, or the rights of another person;
  • submit, generate, host, sell, or distribute content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, threatening, violent, exploitative, or otherwise harmful;
  • infringe copyright, trademark, patent, privacy, publicity, data-protection, or other proprietary rights, including by using a person's likeness, voice, footage, music, or brand without authorization;
  • create or distribute non-consensual intimate content, sexual content involving or directed at minors, or material that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors;
  • create deceptive or harmful synthetic media, including impersonation, deepfakes, face swaps, voice clones, fabricated evidence, or content intended to mislead people about a real person or event;
  • use the Service for scams, phishing, fraud, deceptive advertising, false reviews, get-rich-quick schemes, gambling, financial crime, or unlawful regulated services;
  • transmit malware, harmful code, spam, bulk unsolicited communications, or content designed to compromise systems or evade security controls;
  • scrape, probe, overload, interfere with, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service, accounts, or data;
  • resell, rent, sublicense, share account access, or operate the Service for others without our written permission; or
  • use the Service in a manner that creates unreasonable legal, financial, reputational, security, chargeback, or operational risk.

Prohibited AIGC content

The following restrictions apply separately to every prompt, upload, generation request, and Output:

  • Pornography and NSFW content: Do not create, request, distribute, or monetize explicit sexual, nude, or sexually exploitative content, including non-consensual intimate material.
  • Violence and gore: Do not create content that glorifies, incites, threatens, or depicts extreme violence, torture, self-harm, or graphic gore.
  • Hate speech: Do not target, dehumanize, threaten, or encourage discrimination or violence against people or groups based on protected characteristics.
  • CSAM: Child sexual abuse material is strictly prohibited. Do not sexualize, exploit, endanger, or depict minors in sexual contexts. We report apparent CSAM as required by law.
  • Deepfakes and impersonation: Do not create deceptive or harmful synthetic media, face swaps, voice clones, fabricated evidence, or impersonations of real people without authorization and required disclosure.
  • Copyright and trademark infringement: Do not use copyrighted footage, music, images, characters, logos, trademarks, or other protected material unless you own the rights or have permission for the intended use.

AI video and media safeguards

Before submitting any Input, you must have the rights and permissions needed to use it and to authorize its processing. You must clearly disclose synthetic or AI-generated media where disclosure is required by law or necessary to avoid misleading viewers. You may not use the Service to create media that impersonates a person, depicts private individuals without consent, facilitates harassment or surveillance, or could reasonably cause unlawful harm.

Outputs may not be used as a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, safety, emergency, or other high-stakes advice or decisions. You are responsible for reviewing Outputs before use and for applying appropriate human oversight.

How moderation works

We automatically screen generation prompts before sending a request to a generation provider. We also apply administrator-maintained local keyword rules. A blocked prompt is not submitted to the provider. A prompt that needs review is held for an administrator before it can be submitted.

When a generation provider reports success, the Output is held for administrator review. It is not made available for playback or download until an administrator approves it. We do not claim to run automated video or image recognition on Outputs. The generation provider's own safeguards, including Seedance/Volcengine safeguards where applicable, are an additional layer and not our only moderation control.

Restricted uses

Certain uses may require review, additional verification, written approval, or may be unavailable. These include advertising at scale, public-interest or political content, content about health or financial matters, tools aimed at children, high-volume API use, and uses involving personal data or third-party media. A request for review does not guarantee approval.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action without prior notice where appropriate, including removing or blocking content, cancelling generation requests, reversing credits where permitted, suspending or terminating accounts, preserving records, refusing transactions, and reporting matters to payment providers, rights holders, or authorities. We may act on reports from users, providers, or third parties, or on our own review. We are not required to monitor all activity, but we may do so to the extent permitted by law.

Reporting

To report suspected abuse, infringement, or a policy violation, email support@seevid.org or submit a ticket at /settings/tickets. Include the task ID, a content link, the reason for the report, and any rights or authority evidence (for example, copyright or trademark documentation). We review reports, preserve the relevant audit record, and may block content, suspend access, or take other action described above.
